Inventory figures come from external state Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) systems and related public sources. Those systems can lag, omit items, or show quantities that do not match what is on the shelf. Wheres Whiskey reflects what those sources publish- we do not guarantee that a bottle will still be available when you arrive.

Email us at support@whereswhiskey.com with as much detail as you can (product, store, state, and what looked wrong). We read every report and use them to improve matching and coverage.

Live store inventory is available for Oregon, Utah, Alabama, Virginia, Idaho and Iowa. Those states are highlighted on the Inventory coverage map on the homepage, with per-state boards below it.

An ABC state (Alcoholic Beverage Control) is one where the government controls wholesale and/or retail spirits sales, often through state stores or tight retail rules. Many of those systems publish public inventory or product search tools- that is the data Wheres Whiskey uses. Official state sites remain the source of truth for buying and lotteries; inventory pages can still lag the shelf.
